This second edition of the bestselling Communication Effectiveness Instrument has been updated with a new look and revised content. Communication impacts on every area of our lives, and being an effective communicator involves more than just delivering a message. Ensuring that the person receiving your message interprets it as you intended is just as important as the delivery - and usually more challenging! This self-assessment helps you determine your strengths and development needs in a number of key competencies that will help you become a more effective communicator. The seven sub-categories the assessment includes are: • Empathising Although primarily intended (in its paper format) as a self-assessment, the questions have been worded so this tool can also be used for 180 or 360-degree feedback (by purchasing extra copies of this booklet - one for each respondent). An online version is also available which provides automated scoring and a comprehensive output report. Please contact us for more information. A Personal Action Plan is provided in the back of the booklet to help the subject person commit to the improvement process. Interpretive information on each of the categories is also provided. How this instrument is scored: Twelve questions are presented per category, and each question is scored on a five-point scale between ‘Almost Never' and ‘Almost Always'. Interpretive notes pertaining to each subject are provided, and participants can plot scores on a spider diagram, giving a visual representation of your overall communication effectiveness. Each category features relevant tips on how to go about developing effective communication, and suggests direct actions to be taken. Please contact your Mind Resources Consultant for information regarding this new edition's compatibility with existing facilitator guides. |
