Steve Lundin chats with Mind Resources

1. How did you come across the fish market in Seattle?

John, the owner of Charthouse films, and I were in Seattle filming David White.
The fish market encounter was an accident.

2. Do you think it's a Philosophy that can be maintained on a long term basis?

I don't have to think it because companies all over the world are doing it.

3. Do you manage to main the FiSH! Philosophy in your personal life?

The minute I can't look myself in the mirror and see someone who lives the philosophy most of the time, I will stop speaking on the subject.

4. The FiSH! Philosophy has been a bestseller for years, and gets more and more popular each year - why do you think that is?

FiSH! is upbeat in a down time, it is authentic, it can be applied by a person or a company, it rings true and when handled the right way, it works.

5. Are there any people you feel that FiSH! wouldn't work for?

Yes. Someone who wants quick results and doesn't understand natural energy and how it works. It is not a program you can implement, it is a philosophy you bring to life.

6. What do you think you would be doing if it hadn't been for FiSH!?

Writing, teaching, producing films, speaking and visiting grand children. Pretty much what I am doing now.

7. The FiSH! Philosophy is very much focused on human interaction . How do you think the current trend of social networking though online communication will affect the future of human connections?

We will increasingly seek real human connections.

8. Does the FiSH! Philosophy differ throughout different cultures?

It takes different forms in different cultures but the values are the same.

9. You have done a lot of work with educators and teachers - and FiSH! for Schools is an important part of your legacy - do you think orthodox classroom teaching styles hinder our childrens' development?

Any teaching style that doesn't contain energy, vitality, humanity and a sense of humour is inadequate.

10. How do you imagine the world would be years to come if FiSH! was made mandatory at schools across the world?

You can't mandate FiSH!. You can inspire, coach, support, talk about, model and encourage; but you can't mandate. FiSH! must come from a place of choice.

11. What is in the horizon for the FiSH! journey?

I am enjoying developing other materials like Top Performer and CATS that extend, support and build on FiSH!
